SIX MONTHS ALREADY............

(going back a little while, being that I figured out blogging so late)
I have a passion for children, always have and always will. I can not count the times that my Mother has told me, "Kelli you need time for yourself." Well that pretty much never happened. I figured if I could not have my own child then I would find little ones to play with.

How our little gift "miracle" came......

Last year in February I had surgery. Brad and I had some procedures that took place along with a sonogram done in the beginning of April to find out what was going on......well there was a whole lot going on. I had seven follicles going on. After talking things over with our doctor, and placing all in Gods hands, Brad and I continued to go thru the rest of the procedure. April 30, 2007, I ended up in the hospital. Had blood work done along with testing, and found out at 2:50 pm, that I was PREGNANT. We went in and had a sonogram done May 9, 2007 to find out how many little ones we had. With Dr. Clifford Schwartenburg, standing there the tech said, "I only see one", Dr. Schwartenburg, looked at Brad and I and stated, "You have a miracle". What a shock! Averi Rose Sanchez was born December 28, 2007 at 1:13 pm 6 pounds 1.7 ounces 16 1/2 inches long.

Now I can not believe that she is six months old! Were has time gone? She has been such a true blessing to Brad and I. She will be going thru a surgery July 10, in New Orleans, for a blockage in her kidney, she has been having this problem since she has been born, reoccurring UTI's, which is resulting from the blockage. After all the test, hospitalizations, and procedures that she has had to have, I can honestly say, that she is a trooper. Please continue to pray for our little trooper!

1st Pre-Op Visit

Averi had her first Pre-Op Visit today and things went well. She had to have a culture ran for her urine and then blood work done. Blood work went as well as expected she did not enjoy it at all. She is a little one weighing 13 pounds 13 ounces, we will get a more detail exam in July after the surgery with all measurements. She had a rough afternoon until she got to go to Poppie and Nonnies while I went to softball practice. Please continue to pray for protection over her and a speedy recovery.

Day of FUN

We had a wonderful day on Sunday. While waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive from Georgia, Averi got in the pool and loved it. I have to say that Averi is a very lucky little one, she has two sets of great-grandparents to still love on. After Averi got out of the pool she did some loving on Grandma and Grandpa and then got to eat some rice cereal with applesauce.

Time for a swim......

Splash, Splash I was taking a bath.....After Averi went for a swim, Nonnie went ahead and bathed her.

LETS EAT......This was so much fun.
