God is ALWAYS watching over us.....

On Saturday July 5, Trina, Kate, Averi and I decided to hit the mall. We were on our way out and decided to stop at the GAP. I noticed a little one around Averi's age, and you know how parents can be, I asked, "How old is the baby." Well things hit off from there. I met a wonderful couple, Tracie, Tyson and Baby Ireland, and Granny (Tracie's mother). As we stood there talking we discovered that Averi and Ireland had similar things going on with there kidney's. On the following Monday, Tracie scheduled to see Dr. Ortenburg on Monday July 21 at 1:00 pm. Dr. Ortenburg is going to do surgery, not yet scheduled, on Ireland to fix the kidney problems that she is having. Yesterday Tracie, Ireland and Granny came to the house to visit and let the girls play. I must say that after they left Averi passed out! See slept for about 45 minutes, started screaming, ran in there to check on her and she was out again.

Please pray for Tracie and her family. I am so blessed and thankful that God lead me to this wonderful family. No matter when or where you may be know that God is always leading the path for you. Once I know when Ireland's surgery is I will be sure to update.

6 Months Check Up

Look How I've Grown!

I weighed 14 pounds and 6 ounces which is in the 10.25%.

I am 26" inches tall which is in the 50%.

Dr. Guidroz stated that Averi's weight should start to pick up being that the blockage is fixed. Dr. Guidroz also sent us down for an X-Ray to look at Averi's toe's on both feet to make sure that her bones are all straight or in there correct position. Her toes are a little out of place, if all cames back great then we will wait for her to walk and go from there.

Check Up.....

Nonnie and I took Averi to the Doctor yesterday to get the tube out of her kidney and she did GREAT! Besides having to hold her down, which Nonnie did that, she did awesome. I have to say at first I did not want to watch, but I did and I thought to myself, is that tube ever going to come out. The nurse tech, just keep pulling and pulling. Dr. Ortenburg, stated that she looks good and to schedule to see him in six to eight weeks to take out the stint. Averi will be able to return to her pediatrician on Monday for a six month check-up. Know what that means..... shots.

A huge thanks for all of the help that Nonnie and Poppie have given to us. Nonnie is always willing to go with us to the doctor when she is asked and I greatly appreciate all of her help. Poppie on the over hand, gives Averi loving like no other, its so awesome to see his face when he walks in to get her (will have to get a picture)! Thanks again Nonnie and Poppie for always being there when we need!!!!

See my tooth! Have another one coming in.

Getting Settled After Surgery:

Random Pictures once settled in:

We were released from the hospital Friday afternoon at 6:00 PM. Averi is doing well. Yesterday, (Sunday) was the first day that I did not give her pain medicine except for bedtime and she did good, there were periods thru out the day that you could tell that she was in some pain, however the Motrin worked for her. This morning and today are a bit different, I have began to notice certain ways that she moves really bother her more than others. However one of the good things, well I say good things, she has had pain from the kidney since she has been born, so this might not bother her as much begin that she has lived with pain. Dr. Ortenburg stated to Brad and I that she is going to be a totally different baby once this is all over with. Its a true blessing what the prayers that we have been receiving have done. She is such an amazing little trooper. We have an appointment for Thursday for the tubing to be removed from her kidney. Please continue to pray for healing in her body over the next six to eight weeks.
